"Since 1775, the U.S. Marines have served the cause of freedom with valor," said Aumua Amata. "Congratulations on this anniversary of your founding, which marks 245 years of your proud history. Happy birthday to the Marines! American Samoa is very proud to have some of our own serving in every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
