Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is congratulating Admiral Kevin Lunday, who has served throughout 2025 as Acting Commandant of the United States Coast Guard. The U.S. Senate has confirmed him as Commandant by unanimous consent.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting final House passage of multi-year reauthorization of the United States Coast Guard, which passed the House Wednesday as part of the immense 3,000-page National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

This year’s Navy birthday coincides with a federal holiday, as Columbus Day 2025 is also on October 13th.
