Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming notice from the U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) that two American Samoa nonprofit organizations have been awarded federal grants totaling $900,000 to strengthen services for survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming an announcement from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that American Samoa has been awarded three grants totaling $803,015 to strengthen public safety, expand behavioral health services, and support juvenile justice initiatives in the territory.

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming an announcement from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that American Samoa has been awarded $358,519 under the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) Victim Assistance Formula Grant Program for fiscal year 2025, as authorized by Congress.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting notice of $353,303 in federal funds from the U.S. Department of Justice for the American Samoa Alliance Against Domestic and Sex Violence. 

The one-year grant is from the DOJ’s Office of Violence Against Women (OVW) for the State and Territory Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalitions program.
