Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting several bills she cosponsored that were passed Tuesday by the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC) as part of a slate of a dozen bills, including Pacific issues and combating human trafficking.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata visited Israel as part of a bipartisan delegation for meetings with national leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, participation in the Yom HaShoah observance, Holocaust Remembrance Day. While in Israel, the delegation also met families of the hostages from the October 7, 2023 attacks, and visited the U.S. Embassy, where they greeted the U.S. Marines on duty there.

For instance, the new visa exemption agreement between Samoa and China may make travel between them easier for their citizens, but at what cost to the U.S. and other democracies’ economic and security interests in the region.
