I am delighted to be selected to serve on my top two choices for subcommittee assignments on the House Veterans Affairs Committee. I have been named to the Subcommittee on Health as well as the Subcommittee on Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs.

Both committee assignments will allow me to continue to fight for American Samoan veterans. Specifically, I will have more influence on the bills that affect our veterans' health care benefits and services, and I am excited to get to work.

I look forward to working with Committee Chairman Roe (TN), Vice-Chairman Bilirakis (FL), and Subcommittee Chairmen Mike Bost (IL) and Brad Wenstrup (OH), as well as my other colleagues on the committee to ensure that our veterans in the territories are afforded the same benefits and services as their counterparts in the states.
