Amata Celebrates the 108th Birthday of the Navy Reserve
Washington, D.C. –Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata released the following statement celebrating the 108th birthday of the U.S. Navy Reserve:
“Happy birthday to the U.S. Navy Reserve! Since 1915, the Navy Reserve has stood at the ready to serve and protect our nation and our people. In conflicts since its founding, Navy Reserve sailors have served with distinction and great bravery, while also contributing to their communities as productive and model citizens.”
“In American Samoa, we take pride in the kind of service that the U.S. Navy Reserve exemplifies. Indeed, several sons and daughters of American Samoa have served in the Navy Reserve, as our people are represented in all the services over the years.”
