Amata Gives Thanks
Pago Pago –Wednesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, sent the following address out today, to wish the island a very happy Thanksgiving.

Amata with students from Leone High School during the 5K Turkey Run Registration
(The Congresswoman donated 4 large Turkeys for the event and participated in the run)
"As we come together this week to break bread with friends and family, many of whom we may not have seen in some time; let us give thanks for the many blessings we have both as a people and as individuals.
Let us give thanks for the nation we live in and the many bounties we have been blessed with. Let us give thanks to those young men and women who could not be here with us today, and are at this very moment in far off distant lands defending our way of life from those who would take it from us, and for those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in our nation's name. Let us give thanks for the beautiful islands we call home. And lastly, let us give thanks for our family and friends, who we share this holiday with.
May god continue to bless American Samoa, the United States, and all who stand to defend her."
