Amata Highlights Marine Corps Birthday

Pago Pago – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata highlighted the anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Marine Corps, which dates to 1775, and celebrates 10 November as the service's start date.

"Congratulations to the United States Marine Corps," said Aumua Amata. "In American Samoa, we are proud to know some of our own are serving in every branch of our Armed Forces, and we honor them all. The Marines date their continuous history in the U.S. all the way back to the Continental Marines in 1775. Happy birthday to our Marines!"
