Amata’s Statement of Condolences

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is expressing condolences to the families and friends of those who passed away because of a devastating car crash in front of the cannery. She sends the following message:

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of four precious lives, and other injuries from the heartbreaking vehicle crash over the weekend. My prayers and thoughts are especially with their families as they mourn and everyone who knew them in this loss, their coworkers, and the entire StarKist community. I trust that their pastors and other community leaders will bring comfort in this time as loved ones remember their lives and keep their hope in the Lord. I also pray for wisdom upon any authorities as they conduct any official actions, that God would guide them in truth. May our people come together and support each other and strengthen those in sorrow. May God be with any funeral services or remembrances, and God bless America Samoa and Samoa.”
