“Thank you to our students, who are happy, respectful, and enjoyable to have in the office. They are always a credit to American Samoa and their parents, teachers, and mentors,” said Congresswoman Amata. “This trip is a very worthwhile chance for our students to see the United States Capitol, along with all their other learning opportunities while they are in Washington. Thank you to the Close Up program and their leadership, as they plan out this excellent educational visit each year.”

The students are in the nation’s capital with the Close Up Foundation civic program, part of the program’s yearly extended visit to the nation’s capital area historical and educational sites.
