Amata Welcomes Measles Grant from DOI
Washington, D.C. – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata welcomed the announcement by DOI Assistant Secretary Doug Domenech of nearly half a million in federal funds for the public health emergency response to the Pacific measles outbreak.
Specifically, the Department of Interior is awarding $490,000 in federal funds for American Samoa through the Office of Insular Affair's Technical Assistance Program.
"Congratulations to Governor Lolo and everyone involved in this effort," said Aumua Amata. "The measles outbreak has been a tragedy, and our prayers continue for the people of Samoa.
