Washington, D.C. –Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, announced that the Administration for Native Americans (an office of the Administration for Children and Families under DHHS) has awarded a grant totaling $298,964 for the establishment of a youth development and peer leadership project.

Native Youth I-LEAD is an ANA/ACF initiative that aims to fund youth centered and youth driven empowerment and self-development projects for youth, ages 14-24.

"I would like to thank the officials at ACF for providing this funding for the Tupulaga Ta'iala Project. I also want to thank Intersections, Inc., and all those involved for their hard work in setting up the project and securing the grant award, and especially the Project Director Li'a Se'ui,” concluded Amata.
