"What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season with coworkers and colleagues," said Amata. "It is always nice when we are able to set aside our political differences and come together in the spirit of the season," continued Amata.
The Congresswoman attended the Ball with her youngest daughter Kirsten Amata, who was standing in for her father Fred, who was unable to attend. Both the Congresswoman and her daughter had a wonderful evening of dancing and mingling with the others in attendance.
"While this is a holiday party, in Washington, the work never stops, so this evening also presents a good opportunity to speak to some of my colleagues who I do not see as often, and gauge where we are on some of the issues that will be coming to the forefront in the upcoming year," concluded Amata.
