House Armed Service Committee Includes Aumua Amata’s Bill in FY 2018 National Defense Authorization Act
Washington, DC –Thursday,Congresswoman Aumua Amata, the House Armed Services Committee included Congresswoman Amata's bill which improves small business development centers, in this year's National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
"I'm pleased that the Armed Services Committee included Mr. Evans and my bill in the NDAA. Small businesses provide the essential industrial base that is needed for our nation's defense. These reforms to the Small Business Development Centers will ensure that entrepreneurs are receiving the help they need." stated Amata.
Specifically, this bill will ensure that our Small Development Centers are receiving all allocated funding as appropriated by Congress; and will allow Small Business Development Centers to advertise their services. Amata introduced the Small Business Development Centers Improvement Act of 2017 with Dwight Evans of Pennsylvania.
The NDAA is the federal law specifies the budget and expenditures of the Department of Defense. It authorizes the agencies responsible for defense, established funding levels, and sets the policies under which money will be spent.
