House Majority Whip Congratulates Amata
Washington, D.C. – Tuesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, received a small box with a note attached from House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise (LA-01) on Tuesday.

"What a pleasant surprise and kind gesture from the Whip," said Amata. "Always a gentleman and very representative of the kind of person he is," stated Amata.
The box, which contained an assortment of cupcakes from a local DC bakery, and kind words were sent as a congratulatory sentiment from Representative Scalise on Congresswoman Amata's first bill to pass the House of Representatives.
"Cupcakes and notes aside, we are very fortunate to have leadership like Majority Whip Scalise leading the way in the 114th Congress. I look forward to working with him and the rest of my colleagues as we move forward to do the people's work," concluded Amata.
