Amata Highlights $1.3 million FEMA Award
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting nearly $1.3 million in new federal support from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to reimburse the American Samoa Department of Health (ASDOH) for COVID-19 response efforts carried out during the pandemic. Thank you to the Office of Disaster Assistance and Petroleum Management (ODAPM) and ASDOH for the efforts to qualify and enable reimbursement.




Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is sending appreciation to American Samoa’s nurses in celebration of National Nurses Week (May 6-12), which begins with National Nurses Day (May 6) in the U.S., followed by National School Nurse Day, National Student Nurses Day (May 8), and the week is bookended by International Nurses Day (May 12).
