Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is honoring the U.S. Army Reserve for its birthday, celebrating 115 years of service to the nation, and thanking all the Army Reserve, past and present, especially those in American Samoa.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is delighted to announce the winners of the Malofie Congressional Art Competition for 2023, and say thank you to everyone involved. This year’s first-place winner is Talanoa Lagafuaina of Tafuna High School, and he also won second place. His first-place art will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol! Congratulations also to third-place winner, Talimalolo Taliauli of Leone High School.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is congratulating the nation of Israel upon 75 years of independence, which Israel celebrates this spring, and lauding Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy’s upcoming speech to the Knesset. Israel’s celebration this year of Yom Ha'atzmaut, Day of Independence, begins the evening of April 25, as the date of the celebrations varies in April and May from year to year.

Washington, D.C. –Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata attended Wednesday’s historic meeting between Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen and Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, along with a bipartisan delegation of Members of Congress. Notably, the meeting was the first on American soil between the President of Taiwan and the Speaker of the House.
Washington, D.C. –Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting federal funding from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of $4,119,000 in clean water infrastructure funds for American Samoa.
