Pago Pago – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting the June 14th nationally celebrated birthday of the United States Flag. “Happy birthday to ‘Old Glory!’” said Congresswoman Aumua Amata. “On this day the Continental Congress passed the first Flag Act, which included key features of a flag in use by General George Washington. Since the flag’s official birthday, the main changes have been in the number and pattern of the stars reflecting more states.”

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is honoring Memorial Day 2024. “Throughout the history of the United States, in every generation, there have been brave Service members who gave all for the country, for others, and the cause of freedom,” said Congresswoman Aumua Amata. “On other important holidays, we honor all our military and veterans as each one has taken on the possibility of making that greatest sacrifice. Memorial Day is special in remembrance of those who never came home from the fields of battle.”
