Washington, D.C. – Tuesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata welcomed House passage of a bipartisan effort she has supported, the National Sea Grant College Amendments Program Act of 2020, S. 910, often called the Sea Grant Reauthorization Bill.

Pago Pago – Tuesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata congratulated three local organizations upon federal grant notifications for their youth programs teaching sexual risk avoidance. Together, the three grants total $929,206 for these efforts in American Samoa.

Washington, D.C. – Monday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata is the original cosponsor on a bill introduced in May with Rep. Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan of CNMI to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) educational opportunities in American Samoa and the Northern Marianas.

Congresswoman Amata was notified that Serenalia Iona has been offered an appointment by the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado, pending final medical review.
