Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is honoring American Samoa’s Veterans for Veterans Day 2024, and released the following statement:
“I so appreciate our Veterans and all they mean to our islands and our country. We are deeply blessed in American Samoa to have many Veterans throughout our community. They have earned lasting respect and are a source of wisdom and strength to our people.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is hailing Wednesday’s announcement by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a total of $24.4 million in fiscal year 2025 investment in American Samoa from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law(BIL), which Amata backed publicly throughout the bill’s debate and passage in 2021. The official name of the BIL is the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amataheld a Veterans townhall meeting, organized upon the Congresswoman’s arrival in response to interest from the Veterans. She is traveling from DC to American Samoa, and the flight schedule allowed an opening for a listening session estimated between 90 minutes and two hours, attended by a number of American Samoa’s Veterans at the Airport Honolulu Hotel on Sunday.
