Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata will serve on the House Committee on Foreign Affairs for the 119th Congress, including her role as Vice Chairman of the Subcommittee on East Asia and the Pacific, where she will continue to work with Subcommittee Chairwoman Young Kim (R-CA).

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is delighted to announce the nominations of 12 excellent students from American Samoa for consideration by the prestigious military service academies this year, following the applications of 18 students to Congresswoman Aumua Amata. Several students applied to two academies, so there are 15 nominations in all.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata has introduced a renewal of the American Samoa Economic Development Credit, a tax extender long known as 30A based on the section of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code, as H.R. 399 in the 119th Congress.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata will serve on the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee (HVAC) for the 119th Congress, and as Vice Chairman of the full Committee in recognition of her seniority as a longstanding part of the Committee, where she has served since the people of American Samoa first sent her to represent them in Congress.
