Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming this week’s Steering Committee and Conference votes making Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, tasked with next year’s appropriations.



Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is an original cosponsor of the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act, H.R. 6492, which the House passed Tuesday in a bipartisan vote. This comprehensive bill was introduced by Natural Resources Committee Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) with Ranking Member Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.) to improve access and transform outdoor recreation opportunities on America’s public lands.





Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is highlighting a $3.8 million federal funding notification from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a federal agency within HHS. The same amount was just announced on February 28th covering a 2023 time period, while this additional notice covers 2024, as part of the five-year project by American Samoa Department of Health (ASDOH).
