This year’s first-place winner is Talanoa Lagafuaina of Tafuna High School, and he also won second place. His first-place art will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol! Congratulations also to third-place winner, Talimalolo Taliauli of Leone High School.

He graduated last Saturday, May 21, 2022, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Area Studies-East Asia & Cyber Security. He is one of Aumua Amata’s congressional nominees to the Service Academies.
Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata is welcoming notice from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of a $4.15 million investment under the FCC’s Emergency Connectivity Fund for the American Samoa Department of Education. This federal funding is focused on improving connectivity access for schools and libraries.
