"Thank you to our Vietnam Veterans. It's an honor to work on Veterans' issues in Congress, such as the Blue Water Navy Vietnam Veterans Act, which went into effect in 2020. Like many of our people, I have family who served in the war. Thank you for serving, and may God bless each of you and our military families."

"The National Medal of Honor is reserved for heroic service to the country. Each one is a remarkable story. Each one also started out just like all of our Veterans and Service men and women do — by being willing to serve, to leave home, to follow orders, and give years of their lives to our country. Washington, D.C. – Thursday, Congresswoman Uifa'atali Amata is delighted to once again congratulate Victor Chen upon his second prestigious Service Academy acceptance. The U.S. Military Academy at West Point has also accepted him, joining the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado in offering a fully qualified appointment.

Washington, D.C. – Saturday, Congresswoman Uifaatali Amata had the opportunity to congratulate a longtime friend, former colleague and Veteran, Col. (Ret.) Lillian "Anita" Dixon, as the new Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army (CASA). She will serve in the same role for the Washington, D.C. region as Lotoaoalii Joseph Toloa'i Ho Ching II does for the Pacific region that includes American Samoa. He was appointed CASA in 2020.
