Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata visited U.S. Navy personnel in Finland last week and toured the USS Gunston Hall, as part of a Congressional Delegation that focused on veterans and military issues, and met with U.S. Ambassador to Finland Douglas Hickey and Finland Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Uifa’atali Amata took part in a Congressional Delegation (CODEL) as part of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs last week through Memorial Day. Starting in Tunisia, Members of Congress toured the North Africa American Cemetery in Carthage, Tunisia; met with Tunisia Minister of National Defence Imed Memmich, among others; interacted with U.S. military as they were engaged in Exercise Phoenix Express in the Mediterranean Sea; and held meetings at the United States Embassy in Tunis.

He graduated last Saturday, May 21, 2022, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Area Studies-East Asia & Cyber Security. He is one of Aumua Amata’s congressional nominees to the Service Academies.

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has notified Congresswoman Amata of a grant totaling $8,888,888, or approximately $8.9 million.
