Pago Pago – Thursday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata toured and discussed the special mission of the "hurricane hunter" aircraft the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) currently has in American Samoa.
Middle East—Congresswoman Aumua Amata was humbled and delighted to spend Christmas Day with U.S. troops in the Middle East. She was thrilled to greet a large number of troops from American Samoa, sing Lota Nuu together, and then the Members of Congress had the opportunity to help serve a Christmas meal to hundreds of U.S. service men and women.
Washington, D.C. – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata was pleased to extend congratulations to Mercy Te'o of the village of Lauli'i upon her Air Force promotion from the rank of Captain to Major.

Washington, D.C. – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata is congratulating U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer (CW5) Taufaga'afa Lincoln P. Glenister from Pago Pago upon his retirement ceremony following more than 40 years of honorable service to our country.
Chief Glenister enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1977, then entered active duty 40 years ago in 1978. Early in his career, he spent five years as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. In 1986, he began his more than 32 years in Special Operations, earning his "Green Beret."
