Washington, D.C. – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata was privileged to attend an American Samoan soldier's Advanced Individual Training graduation ceremony at Fort Benning, Georgia, followed by a tour of the Fort and a special visit to the National Infantry Museum, where Governor Peter Tali Coleman is the only American Samoan inductee in the Hall of Honor.
Washington, D.C. –Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, and the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs passed a series of bills out of mark-up yesterday including H.R. 3218, The Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2017. H.R. 3218 will make several improvements for veteran and service member education covered under the G.I. Bill.

Tobin, who retires from the United States Army this month after nearly 34 years of service. CSM Tobin is a native of Pago Pago, American Samoa and Lotopa Village, Samoa, and joined the Army in October 1983.
