Pago Pago –Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, met a few of her Congressional colleagues last night at Pago Pago International Airport, during a stop off for refueling on their way back to the mainland from South Korea.
Washington, D.C. –Thursday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, announced today that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) under the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Administration (HHS) has awarded a grant in the amount of $1,000,000 to the LBJ Medical Center in Pago Pago for the Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home visiting Program.

Pago Pago, AS, Tuesday, March 29, 2016, Congresswoman Aumua Amata was special guest speaker at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) meeting here today. “I know VFW members have many questions regarding what my office is doing on their behalf. Let me first acknowledge the fact that everything we do here and in Washington, DC, has an impact or potential impact on all Veterans. That being said, let me give you a quick rundown on our activities during the first 14 months of my term in office”, said Amata.

Pago Pago –Thursday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, informed local student Seung Ju Myun, a senior at South Pacific Academy in Tafuna, of his acceptance to the United States Military Academy at West Point (USMA) by phone.

Pago Pago –Sunday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, met with the local Chamber of Commerce last week to discuss some of the things happening in Washington that affect the local economy, and what Congress is doing to help the nation’s small businesses, including those American Samoa.

MS. RADEWAGEN: Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize International Women’s Day. Officially, we began to recognize International Women’s Day in 1977, but its roots can be traced back to the early 20th Century.
We use the day to recognize the contributions that women have made to our society, and to bring awareness to the continuing inequality between the genders.
