VA Roundtable

Washington, D.C. –Wednesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, took part in a roundtable conversation on Capitol Hill, entitled, “Assessing How to Improve Recruitment, Retention, and Hiring Practices across VA”. The purpose of the roundtable discussion was to facilitate an open conversation on what can be done to improve the VA’s ability to attract, hire, and retain quality employees.

Pago Pago –Thursday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, today announced the release of $1.9 million in grant funding to American Samoa through the Office of Insular Affairs' (OIA) Capital Improvement Project (CIP)Program. The funds will be used to support some of the much needed improvements to critical infrastructure in the territory, including a school, a health care center, a youth center and the port.

Pago Pago –Tuesday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata, made the following statement in recognition and support of National Entrepreneurs Day. Committee Chairman Steve Chabot introduced House Resolution 511 earlier this month with Committee Ranking Member Nydia Velázquez (D-NY), which recognizes the third Tuesday in November as National Entrepreneurs' Day. The resolution, which is cosponsored by Congresswoman Amata has strong bipartisan support from both Republicans and Democrats.
