Washington, D.C. – This week, Congresswoman Aumua Amata took part in a variety of hearings, including examining a fishing report by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), reviewing efforts to protect Veterans from online fraud, along with hearings on supporting rural and remote small businesses, and updating child protection services in Native American communities.

H.R. 1865 honors our nation's law enforcement community with a National Law Enforcement Museum Commemorative Coin, and H.R. 2423 creates the Women's Suffrage Centennial Commemorative Coin to honor the 100-year anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment guaranteeing the right to vote for women citizens in the United States.

Washington, DC – Friday, Congresswoman Aumua Amata hailed the success of a bipartisan request to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) regarding its administrative rules which placed undue constraints on Compact of Freely Associated States migrants seeking to obtain REAL IDs. The DHS has responded with a change in those requirements to remove unnecessary barriers to the benefit of those living or working in the U.S. from these valued Pacific allies.
